Trinity College London's GESE syllabus is free to use. Teachers, schools and independent learners may use the exam structure and learning objectives at no cost, and no particular textbook or teaching material is required.

- Educators may use the free resources available on the Trinity website, the Eduprogress Resources website or develop their own, provided the course is not described as officially endorsed by Trinity College London.
- For educators and students who prefer the structure of formal textbook series, a number of publishers have mapped their English language course texts to Trinity exams.
